Dr. J. Terrell Pope, M.D.

Dr. James Terrell Pope was born in Macon, Georgia on July 22nd, 1946. Although he was born in Macon, he grew up in Monticello, Georgia and graduated from Monticello High School in 1964. Soon after, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Emory University, followed by his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1974. He joined Dr. Lon King and Dr. Carl Schuessler in this practice in 1978 and is a past President of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.


 Dr. Pope is involved in many organizations including the Bibb County Medical Society, the Georgia State OB/GYN Society, South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians & Gynecologist, as well as the American College of OB/GYN. Not only is Dr. Pope involved in many professional organizations, but he also participates in local activities from the Macon Civic Club, Idle Hour Country Club, and is a member of Vineville Methodist Church. He and his wife, Lynn, have been married since 1969, and have two children, Warren and Wood. They also have six grandchildren, which is Dr. Pope's favorite way to spend his spare time!
